    Summer sport in Munich

    With the weather in Munich reaching the high 20’s, it’s now a perfect time for some GAA training. GAA is a great way to offset the effects of those famous Munich Biergardens. New members are always welcome to try Ireland’s national sport in the heart of Munich city. Do remember, Gaelic Football is a semi-contact sport, which demands physical strength and endurance. Compared with it’s distant (weaker) cousin soccer (Fussball), Gaelic Football is totally different beast.     Munich ladies finish 3rd in the Hague

    Well done to the Munich Colmcilles ladies team who took the 3rd place on their first tournament for this year! After playing a total of 4 games, of which 2 wins, 1 draw and 1 loss, the Munich ladies made a very good start to their football season. Although our ladies didn’t have their full pannel at the tournament and  had 7 players only, they still managed to deliver a good game performance and the Player of the Tournament was awarded to the Munich player Angela Buechler; well done Angie!
