    2 Munich Colmcilles Ladies compete in Triathlon

    Susi Schwalb and Angie Büchler from our ladies football team participated in the 16th annual Stadttriathlon Erding previous weekend. They competed in the so-called Volkstriathlon discipline, consisting of a 400m swim, 20km cycling and a 4km run, and performed very well altogether. Angie even managed to finish 3rd in her age group and take the 4th place in the overall standings! Congratulations to both Angie and Susie and fair play for their inspiring sportsmanship!

    The Colmcilles as stated below are donning their hurling and football skills to all and sundry. Everyone whether a club member or not is welcome to come out and participate in Sundays demonstrations of our two Irish games. Young and old are welcome to learn our sports.     Luxembourg report – ladies team 2009

    The Munich GAA ladies travelled to Luxembourg to compete in Round 3 of the Ladies European Football Championship and successfully managed to reach their first final in several years. Featuring a strong squad of 13 players, composed of a few players participating in their first ever tournament, the ladies played some fantastic football throughout the day, however failed at the last hurdle by losing to Belgium in the final.     Saturday Training Cancelled June 13th

    Because of the holiday and the fact that many players are away this weekend, we have decided to cancel both Mens and Ladies training this coming Saturday June 13th. As it is a long weekend, the majority of players will be away and hece the reason for cancelling training. Training for both the ladies and mens team will however resume next Tuesday, June 16th @ 7:00PM sharp. Enjoy the break and look forward to a good turn out next Tuesday ! Don’t forget that Green Farm Festival is on next week.
