Paul, great idea with the videos of AGM on the home page. Do they also come with subtitles? Henno is the only one I can understand Laughing

Everything is going great here in Melbourne accept for the scorching heat. There was a heat wave last week, with tempatures of 43°C for 4 days. It's cooled down since then (down to 30°C!), but this Saturday will be up to 40 again. Work is going great, and I'm also getting a chance to travel alot at the weekend. But most weekends I'm lying on beach. Other then that I nearly ran over a Kangaroo on the freeway. Luckily I was only doing 60 Kmh. A couple of days later I tasted my first Kangaroo steak, which tastes very good. Next time I won't be breaking! Twisted Evil

I'll take some time off work to travel to Sydney for 4 days next week. In March I'll head further up the east coast to visit Gold Coast, Brisbane and Cairns. I've signed up for a tour of a tropical rainforest and go diving the next day in the Great Barrier Reef.

Here are some photos if anybody is interested:

Mick,

if you need any tips on where to go when going up the East Coast, let me know, as i was there last October and probably did the 2 tours that you have booked already.

Cairns is inside the Tropic of Capricorn. Daintree rainforest is a tropical rainforest near Daintree in Queensland, on the coast, north of Cairns.

There are temperate rainforests south west of Melbourne with Mountain Ash that grow up to 100 metres in height. How many hurleys would you get from one tree?!

John, I'll be doing these tours:
Rainforest: http://dreamtimecairns.bookconfirm.com/1-Day-Cape-Tribulation-Tour-Dreamtime-Online-Tour-Shop-m-Details-packageID-577.html

Great Barrier Reef: http://dreamtimecairns.bookconfirm.com/Upolu-Cay-1-Day-Cruise-Dreamtime-Online-Tour-Shop-m-Details-packageID-593.html
Are they any good?

I'll be back in Munich at the end of March. Flying the weekend that Munich changes to summer time! Cool

Mick, unfortunately your tours are different to the ones that the wife and I did!! we did the kuranda railway tour, and the quiksilver reef tour, though yours look really good as well. if you do have an extra day or two in Cairns, do the kuranda tour, i would really recommend it to anyone.

Go over and get some tips from Setanta about fair play and team spirit before you leave Razz

Try and get to watch a game in the MCG before you leave too. Awesome stadium. Are you sunbathing down in ST Kilda? I used to live up the road in a place called Balaclava! I kid you not.
