Munich ladies finish 3rd in the Hague
Well done to the Munich Colmcilles ladies team who took the 3rd place on their first tournament for this year! After playing a total of 4 games, of which 2 wins, 1 draw and 1 loss, the Munich ladies made a very good start to their football season. Although our ladies didn’t have their full pannel at the tournament and had 7 players only, they still managed to deliver a good game performance and the Player of the Tournament was awarded to the Munich player Angela Buechler; well done Angie! We would like to congratulate the ladies on the good [...]

What is Gaelic Football ?
Here is a short video of Gaelic Football. This video shows some of the main skills, and has a good overview of passes, scoring, blocks and tackles. As you will see Gaelic Football is a semi-contact sport, and almost looks like a mixture of football and rugby. We will post a hurling video on Thursday.

The 2009 season starts
Training times for both the mens and ladies teams are now available. As the pitches are not open yet, we will start training on the all weather pitch (so please bring runners and football boots). It is expected that the pitches will have recovered from their snowy winter and will be open in the middle of April. For further details on what is happening with regards to training, we would advise you to keep an eye on the message board thread about the 2009 training schedule.

Maastricht 2008
After a few years break from Euro league action by the men, Maastricht witnessed the Mens and Ladies team travelling to a Euro League tournament together once again. The ladies secured a fantastic 3rd place overall in the European League by getting to the semi final to play against a very strong and experienced Brussels side. The men weren’t as succesful on the pitch as the Ladies, with the lack of training and match practice being shown up by defeats in the 2 league games against euro stallwarts The Hague and the eventual Euro Champions Brussels. In the playoff against [...]

An excellent trip was had by all, a big thanks to the Rennes GAA club for organising what turned out to be a great a day of football, followed by nice bit of grub (some of us even had multiple portions) and topped off by some night time high jinks (here a quick mention of the [...]
