Here is the list of the new Munich Colmcilles commitee for 2009.Â Â Special thanks must go to LaurenÂ McLaughlin for holding the role of Chairperson for the last 2 years.Â It’s great to see some new faces on the commitee.

Here are some pictures from the clubs outing to the GreenFarm festival. The festival, which is in it’s 2nd year, took place an organic farm north of Munich. The farm is in Hallbergmoos which about 25km from Munich in the direction of the airport.

Green Farm appearance

This coming weekend, June 20th-22nd, is the annual Irish festival in Hauslerhof, in Hallbergmoos. It is a 3 day event with Irish bands, dancing, food, drink and sport. A guaranteed day of fun for all ages and interests.

The Munich Colmcilles will be taking part in this event on Sunday, 22nd of June at 2pm. We will have a football and hurling demonstation course for anyone interested in trying or seeing either sport.

We are proud to announce that we now have a new newsletter system in place. If you are interested in keeping up todate about the what is happening with the club, then this is for you. Currently there are 5 lists, and here is an overview of what topic each list covers:

Generic Email List : Details about club events, news about MunichGAA etc.
Ladies Football : Updates about training times, tournament preparation, etc.
Mens Football : Updates about training times, tournament preparation, etc.
Mens Hurling : Updates about training times, tournament preparation, etc.
Parents of Underage : This list is for news about the kids hurling training, etc.

If you think that any of these grab your interest, then please click on the image below which will bring you to the signup page. Don’t worry you can always unsubscribe from the list, and the traffic isn’t very high.

2008 Club AGM

The Colmcilles AGM 2008 will take place on Tuesday the 22nd of January at Gartenstadt (see training location), commencing at 8.30 in order to give everyone time to get there from work. Like every year, the committee for the incoming year will be decided on, and you will get an insight into what happened in the club over the past year on and off the pitch.

A new development for the club is that we will be putting together a club plan this spring, to chart our aims for the year, and at the AGM is the perfect opportunity to get feedback from the members on what should be in it.
