Munich Ladies to face a London GAA team
October 12th, 2009 by toddComing Saturday, October 17th, will see the London Clonbony Ladies GAA team visiting Munich and playing a few friendly games against our own Munich Ladies. Travelling with a full squad of 24 players, the London team seems more than eager to play as it is still quite a newly founded club, so competitiveness on the pitch is guaranteed. Playing grounds at SV Gartenstadt have been already booked for 15:00 on Saturday, October 17th, but the official draw and schedule for the day is still to be announced.

You can meet the Clonbony Ladies on Facebook here or visit their short profile over here.
The game aftermath has been planned as a social event of getting together and having fun, so everybody is more than welcome to join the ladies not only as spectators during the day, but for the post-match entertainment as well. We would like to wish our ladies good luck for the games and hope for good weather conditions so that more fans and supporters can join in on the day at Gartenstadt.
The evening also offers the opportunity of attending the WildeNight Out 2009 – a charity fundraiser event organised by DIF-Bayern and kindly sponsored by the Embassy of Ireland, Berlin, and the Munich-based company Riverland Solutions GmbH. The event shall take place at the Schlachthof, Zenettistr. 9, in Munich and would offer its audience the theatrical one-man-show “In the Company of Oscar Wilde” performed by Alan Stanford, followed by live Irish music.
The Munich Colmcilles are one of the charity beneficiaries alongside with the Society of St. Vincent de Paul, Ireland, so we encourage everybody to join in. You can find out more about the event and purchase tickets here.
