Summer sport in Munich
May 20th, 2009 by paul savageWith the weather in Munich reaching the high 20’s, it’s now a perfect time for some GAA training. GAA is a great way to offset the effects of those famous Munich Biergardens. New members are always welcome to try Ireland’s national sport in the heart of Munich city.
Do remember, Gaelic Football is a semi-contact sport, which demands physical strength and endurance. Compared with it’s distant (weaker) cousin soccer (Fussball), Gaelic Football is totally different beast. With a heavier ball, and the option to hold the ball, Gaelic football requires hand eye coordination and a higher level of physical fitness.
Our Mens and Ladies teams train twice a week, on Tuesdays at 7pm and Saturdays at 12pm, if you would like to join us you can find all the information here. If you have questions about the game feel free to post them in the German or English forums, registering only takes a minute.
